•Purpose
On September 2, 2011, a wall was erected in Gangjung village. Before this wall was built, Gureombi rock was a place where children played, young people sang and danced, and the elderly prayed and meditated. Thanks to the huge rock of Gureombi, which embraced us all, this was possible. The military erected the wall here and crushed all living creatures by covering them with cement concrete. The red-footed mud crab, the freshwater shrimp, the sacred well of Halmangmul, the layered sedge, and the spadefoot toad have all disappeared. The death of these seemingly insignificant things is a harbinger of our own death. We now plan to tear down this wall, built for the military bases, and reinstate Gureombi. Furthermore, we are holding this perfomance with the hope of overcoming all the barriers against our daily lives to make a better world.
